If you are still under the 3 year/ 36k mile warranty, then by all means take it to the dealership. They will replace the unit with a new one (they don't fix them).
If you are *not* under warranty, guess what. The dealership will charge about $900 for the part and over a hundred for the repair. Of course, this is ridiculous as the part is probably worth $100 and the repair involves removing 1 philips head screw.
