1985 Toyota Supra Two Wheel Drive Manual 160, 00 miles

engine not getting fuel, replaced fuel filter, how can I tell if fuel pump is bad? Does a fuel pump make noise? Like clicking or humming mine has none at all. Took pump out of tank, hooked wires to pump then to battery. Nothing.

Hi there,

This pump will Humm when in operation, Is the strained still attached, if at all in doubt fit a new pump, but don't dry run it as it will over heat and fail quickly. Check fuel pressure and pressure retention.
