Toyota 1999 sienna, 93K, burnt valve in #2 hole, fixed the valve started burning oil on the whole bank, 2, 4, 6. Had new valve seals put in again, no help. Really smokes at startup, then slows way down for about 8 miles hyway. Then blows smoke at every stop or accelleration. Thought it was a bad head, replaced the head and the problem remains--150-200 miles per quart of oil. Can only believe that the engine rings are causing the problem but why does it get worse after setting over night? And now I have an oil leak where the motor meets the transmission.

Should I rebuild or find another used engine?

can anyone tell me if the newer 3, 3L 3MZFE will work int the 1999 Sienna where the 1MZFE is now?

Sounds more like Valves guide. Hook a vacuum gauge and gradually increase the speed if it steadys while being accelerated you have found your bad friend.

You get more smoke when engine is cold, when its warm this is where the rings will seal it better.

The leak between the tranny and engine is probably caused by the rear main seal.
