2008 Toyota RAV4 plug in solar battery chargers

We have been using these chargers with all our cars. We picked us thsi Toyota and I transferred the solar charger to it and plugged it into the lighter.
Whenever I do, the key fob will not lock or unlock the car and the radio keeps playing after the key is out. This have never happened with any other car we put it in.
Whenever I unplug the charger, the fob will work. Plugged in, nothing. Any ideas?

Hi eddieb,

The wiring circuit is different. With this model, the cigar lighter only works with the ignition turned on, so the solar charger is now giving supply to the ignition as if the ignition switch is on.

You need to rewire the circuit if you want to use the charger.
