Hi there, i have the above car, i have taken it to toyota and the codes tell them that its a faulty air mass meter, i have replaced this, but the car is the same. the fault is as follows.

at random times, the car will just lose power, almost like it gone into limp mode, the engine management light does come on, but often will got out again.
also the loss of power sometimes can be there and other times the car will run perfect. i dont think its the turbo, because when its running ok, its really does move. i really hope you can help?

kind regards

Simon:

Have they checked the catylatic converter for plugging or for the insides being loose? Also, have they checked fuel pump pressure?
