The car was slipping (or like a bump) when it would go into first gear (like it wasn't going in to first), but was fine after it got up to speed. Took it and had the transmission professionally flushed and spent $190.00 to do this. (They also readjusted the idle). The car is running fine now, but the mechanic told me that we would probably have to have a new transmission put in and that would be $2500.00. We bought the car used 2 months ago and it was not used for heavy driving.
Does it sound like the problem could be fixed after flushing out the transmission fluid and putting new in it or do I need to have a new transmission put in?
Thank you
