When the engine is warmed to operating temperature, the engine will idle poorly and die when you slow down for an intersection and you can smell raw gas. When you reach between 45 and 55 mph the engine shudders as though it is not getting fuel thoughout the injector system. Could this have anything to do with the oxygen sensors?

Do you have a check engine light and when was the last tune-up?

Do this remove the EFI fuse wait 10secs and observe the engine's behavior-

Probable causes:

Clean out the idle air control valve and EGR valve to include testing the airflow meter and throttle position sensor
