2002 Toyota Pickup But Why

I have a 02 toyota tacoma. The truck was driving fine, and when I went to check the oil it was low so I put more oil. And when I put the oil it started to throw white smoke when I turn it on by the exhants. So when you turn the truck it throw alot of smoke and when you step on the gas it ever throws more what is it. And it's also wasting too much gas.

Did it do it immedietely after the oil was added, or was it doing it before the oil was added?

Get the engine compression tested, and the cooling system pressure tested and get back witht he results.
