When my wife starts he truck the check enginlight comes on the truck idles fast and there is no throtle response.

So you press on the accelerator and no increase in idle? Any idea what code is in the computer?

No throttle response-Try disconnecting the TPS and inspect it-you see anything? Put it back in. Any improvement. Also while you're under the hood check the MAF sensor its attachecd to the air cleaner look in the flap, maybe something is stuck in there or need cleaning.

If not we'll be waiting for the OBD2 code in order to proceed on.

You sure the throttle cable is not disconnected-I heard of such thing the other day here. Lets check it.
