Ok to start I did a full tune up on my truck 2 months before parking it for over a year, ran fine as always when I parked it. A few weeks ago I charged the battery and it fired up just fine. I drove it for about 2 weeks then parked it in the driveway overnight and it just would not start in the morning to a point to were it would run with out spitting and spuddering along with backfireing while in gear. When I could move it it simply would not have enough power to move past 5' with out dieing. The things I have checked are. Spark, I get a really healthy and bright spark buy pulling the plug wire off and checking it against ground. Checked the fuel pump by jumping it out and can hear it run and go through the reg at the engine. Also pulled the codes and at first got the #24 and # 31 pointing to the Afm, So I ohmed out the termanals to the manual and found only the E2-VC was at 0.3 and not the 200-400 ohmes as listed. Soooo I ordered it and got the new one and that one read the same as the one on the truck. So I sent it back and they are sending another one. Not sure if that is the issue or not. So tonight I cracked the inlet bolt for the fuel into the coldstart and cranked and got a healthy spray so I believe I have good fuel pressure. Then checked the codes again with none showing up. The truck will crank but wont idle. Sounds like its idleing on 2 cyl. For about 3 seconds then dies. So im kinda stuck here atm. Any ideas guys? Oh I did check to see if the cam was spinning with the oil cap off and it was so the timing belt was ok along with moving the dist. In all locations while cranking with the same result. When I did try to start it with the pump jumped out and running In 2 attempts of cranking for 5-7 seconds each there was a very strong smell of fuel from the exhaust so I believe the injectors could be ok. But not for sure though. The truck has about 206,000 miles. I bought it with 110,000 miles. So it has had the same injectors during my ownership. No history prior to that though.

** Forgot to say the fuel filter was changed as well **

As an update yesterday I thought I had it. I bought starting fluid and sprayed a little in the tbody and she fired right up! So I changed the fuel pump out however without the starting fluid it simply will not start at all. Any ideas? Fuel pressure regulator maybe?
