Engine Mechanical problem
1991 Toyota Pickup 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1991 Toyota pickup. When I start it the engine turns over, but dies within a few seconds. I changed the fuel filter and gas line, the ECU, and checked all the hoses and vacuum lines. It ran for a few days after the fuel filter was changed but now its doing the same thing. It literally died as I was driving, again.

Hi Nanashar,

When the engine stalled,

Were all the meter lights showing?

Did you check whether it was fuel or electrical fault?

Was it easy to restart?

Yes, the lights on the dash lite up. Not certain if its fuel or electrical. Because the truck dies while its moving without any sputtering or idle problems, I think its electrical. I can smell gas and the filter and fuel line are brand new. Took the fuel line from the filter off and tried starting the truck to see if gas was coming through that line, and there was plenty of gas. I can't get it restarted, it cranks over but dies within a few seconds.
