1989 Toyota Pickup 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

can I remove the oil pan towards the rear of the vehicle or do I need to remove he steering linkage and take it out the front? (or pull the pan over the linkage). If I need to remove the linkage, what is the best way and best joint to remove?
