Engine Mechanical problem
1992 Toyota Paseo 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

I had the head rebuilt and the block rebuilt. It is a short block. We got it all back together and it started up and sounded great for about a minute and a half and when will filled it with water it stopped running. We checked the dipstick and there is water in the oil but no oil in the water. HELP! We used the proper torque and gaskets.I am working with my dad who has rebuilt engines for years and he is also at a loss. Any suggestions would be great!

Hi
Something went wrong has to be head to block sealing failure. Have you done compression test? Was head planed and checked for cracks? Was throttle body gasket replaced?
Let me know
Thanks for donate

Yes, we have great compression. The block was taken in to the machine shop and I am sure they plained it etc. It was $1000!
