Shift Issues

I was trying to change out my shift lever for cosmetic puposes & I dropped a small screw into the shift shaft, how do I get the screw out because it is so small to get in there?

Might have to remove the shifter and turn it upside down to shake it out if it is too small to get with a magnet or tweezers
