Engine Mechanical problem

Howdy,
I have had to replace 5 different plug coils over the past 3 years. My mechanics (who read the error code as plug misfire and the cylinder number) can't think of anything inthe electrical system between the coils and the battery...this is getting expensive...any ideas. Otherwise, all the scheduled maintenance has been done and I have had no other problems. I have spoken to Toyota service and there are no service issues and they admitted not being familiar with this problem. They say they can put their computer on the issue.
