Dear Sir,
When I am in traffic (idling) with the A/C turned on and the car lights, after about 30 minutes the battery light starts to come on and the power in the battery goes down to eleven volts. With the A/C off and the lights off it rises to about fourteen volts!
The engine idle speed is about 500RPM (is this too low?)
After 30/40 minutes the battery is nearly flat!
What do you think the problem is?
The car is a Toyota Aristo 3000 GTE Twin Turbo VVTI (1998)
Regards, Terence.

HI there,

The engine idle speed is far to low, I would first have the A/C idle up inspected and if that is OK, have the engine idle speed re set, start here.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the info. Do you you know what the idle speed should be set at, at idle (tick-over)?
Regards, Terence.
