When I try to start my car it will turn over but won't start. I pour gas into this rubber tube thing that is connected to the fuel rail I believe and it fires right up. Can you please tell me what the problem is. Why will it start when I manually pour gas in but not on its own. And yes I have a half tank. I replaced the cold start valve but still nothing. Please help

Does it continue to run once you do that?

When you turn it off but engine is still warm will it start right back up?

Yeah it runs after it starts. After it warms up it starts right up, but it takes awhile. I replaced a vaccum hose but it still won't start right away. Once I get it started it also idles a little sluggish. Rpm going up then down, up, down. I turn the auxillary air valve (next to TPS) to close and it runs smooth.

You may have a restricted fuel filter, or a bad fuel pressure regulator or leaking injectors. Id check those first.
