Brake light turn on when I turn my lights on

I have a 91 corolla and when I turn the lights on the brake lights light up, Also when I hit the brakes when the light are turned off the dash lights light up. I got pulled over today because of this. 150K millage automatic please help!

Your running and brake light circuit is shorted together. Might want to inspect all the bulb sockets at the back for a start.
