I took my car in have the automatic transmission service to simply change the fluid for the 60,000 manufacturer recommendation. Now my car is leaking transmission fluid and the service department says they did nothing to cause the issue. They say the leak is coming from the right inner transaxle output seal. They indicate that there is no way they could have bumped or damaged this part of the car. HELP! It seems odd to me that I had no leaks before they serviced the car. What do I do?

Hi there,

when this transmission service is done, the only item removed is the transmission pan, if this new leak is from the drive shaft seal, it is purely coincidental that it has done so after the service, the drive shaft will have to be replaced and a new seal fitted.
