2005 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 100K+ miles

When I begin to drive (after stopping) and the car moves from 1st to 2nd gear, it makes a forward jerk, as if it is skipping over a gear. What should I do?

Have Toyota or trusted garage check it, todays electronic transmissions are complicated and should be checked by a trans expert.
