2003 Toyota Corolla Surge in RPM when starting the car

My Corolla is having some surge while I start my car. The engine rpm starts around 1700 and it goes till 2000. It comes back to the normal idle level (1000-1200) in 5-6min. Is this a sign of some problem. Please advice me.

Clean (or have cleaned) your IAC (Idle Air Control) valve and check for any vacuum leaks.

Normal idle on the 1ZZFE engine (no loads), is >1000rpm, usually around 950 or so.
