Hi.I have a Toyota RXI Silver top motor
While my car idles it has this noise, it sounds like its coming from the tappit cover tick tack, tick tack
Im driving with open throttles.
I drove through a water pool this morning and im not sure what it can be. Help please.
the cars refs are not going high aswell pass 3000refs.

Toyota uses a "shim" to adjust the lifters, so you will have to check shim clearence on each valve.

Look for.008 intake and.010 on exhaust on cold engine.

When driving through water you may have broke an electrical connector or got water in to one that is causing a false reading.
You will have to remove and clean connectors with an eltronics cleaner.
