Engine Cooling problem
1998 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

hi there I have a 1998 toyota turbo starlet. Every time I am in traffic an my car is idliing my temperture gauge go up to hott (H) but the engine dont overheat or break down but when I am drivin it come back down to normal tempature. What could be my problem? Please help me urgent thank you professional

The cooling fan is probably not working. You should hear it come on. If you turn on the AC, the fan should run at a slower speed.

If not then the fan is bad or the fan switch/relay is bad.
