When you use the power lock switches (drivers or passengers) to unlock the doors, the doors instantly relock by themselves. Manually unlocking the doors via the "button" works, but within minutes, the doors will lock again. Happens when sitting still, or driving. Ignition on or off. Also happens when using the key to open the door. When you "double twist" to unlock all the doors, they instantly relock.

It could be a malfunction with the remote unit on the key ring (sending out a lock signal).

Or if there are two units one may be stuck in the seat sending out a lock signal.

These cars also have a "timer" that will lock the doors after a certain amount of time and under certain conditions.

This car doesn't have remote key locks. It is simply power door locks in the car. No key fobs or anything like that.

Then the main switch on the drivers door would be suspect.

On some Toyota's the doors will lock themselves after a certain period of time and under certain conditions.

I would check your owners manual about automatic locking.
