1997 Toyota Corolla Coolant Flush and Fill

I just when in for my oil change. The mechanic is telling me I need a Coolant Flush and Fill. What is this and how do I know that I really need it.

You should generally drain and flush the cooling system every 2 years.

Coolant is drained, the system flushed with water and then refilled with fresh coolant.

Check your owners manual for maint schedule, if coolant is red, then it would need to be flushed (Toyota Red Coolant).
