My trip odometer never moves off 000. What could be causing this and is it something that a "layman" like myself would be able to fix without spending a lot of money?

Hi tonyrlw,

Sometimes the gears gets stuck after you have pressed the trip button.

Try pushing the button a few times and hope it can reset the gears.

Hi tonyrlw,

Too bad, most probably the gears are worn, so you need to replace the meter unit.

Okay thanks. I don't really know how to fix a meter unit but I will see if I can get to a dealer.
