i have 1995 toyota corolla how to install new transmission filter and pan.should i use sealer around the before putting on gasket.what kind of sealer

Hi there,

Never use any sealant on transmission pans, if any enters the system it can be disastrous. clean pan and base of transmission, if a cork gasket is used just smear a film of petroleum (white ) grease on pan to hold gasket while installing. fit pan and torque to specs. No sealant ever.
