It seems I need to have my brake and fuel line replaced. I had lost the brake flued, had the line repaired. The mechanic used brass coupling connections, so I 'm back at square one. The dealer said the fuel and brake line ( I did see the rust on the lines) need to be replaced. The cost is $3729.00. Yes this is a lot but cheaper than car payments.
Is this a legitimate price? Should I shop this around, should I stay with a Toyota dealer? Tjburke2@verizon. Net

Go to a website called inlinetube. Com and check the brake lines out. They have complete brake lines (steel or stainless) for under $500.

Anyone who would use brass compression fittings on a brake line is someone to avoid.
