Hey guys. My boy called and says his key has finally wallowed out the lock cylinder and will no longer turn to the start position and better yet had almost snaped the key off trying to ge it out. Will local locksmiths come out and change the tumbler on site or does he have to get it towed and get repaired?

Try another key, key could be worn? Does it have a keylock for the cylinder? Try lubing up the cylinder with graphite lock lube, does that help? The pins may be hanging up.

He had another key. Brand new, never used and couldn't even get it halfway in.I think that the tumblers are screwed up.

Yeah, might need a new tumbler if its not even letting the key in! Try lubeing it up first. Try that first to try and save time and money.
