Hello dear sir,

Some times in normal driving when I push the accelerator pedal, I think the speed increases gradually and I think it can be increase faster than this(Just I guess!). I don't feel any bad in gears movement and the gears seems to change normally. Just the car running caused my doubt about its clutch disc.

How can I test my car's clutch disc if it's the time to be replaced or not?

Thank you so much

Hi there,

you can do a stall test, pull the hand brake on as tight as you can, start the car select 1st get and try to drive off as per normal 1st get clutch use, if the clutch is is good condition the car should stall quickly, if the clutch is suspect it will slip and you will get a burnt smell, if in doubt get your mechanic to do this test.

If you do replace the clutch, MAKE SURE to have mechanic replace the rear main seal on engine block.
