1989 Toyota Corolla half shaft removal

I recently removed the driver and passenger half shafts and noticed oil soothing out. My question is where do you replace the oil that soothed out? There are a drain and a fill plugs located at the drivers side of the trans. Is this the fill and drain for the trans or driveshaft? What kind lubricant do I use? Im asking, because all over the net has some contradicting answers about what type of lubricant to use. Well I hope someone can answer my wuestions. Thanks in advance.
