I just put a new alternator and new starter in my corolla. But now on the dash the brake and charge light stay on all the time. When ever I turn on my lights at night the engine seems to slow down what should I do. Thank you

Take car to any autoparts store and get charging system tested for free.

This would include battery, alternator, starter draw and drains.

It is possible the battery is shorted and is causing this problem. The charging system test will tell you.

You need to get the charging system tested, all autoparts stores do this for free.

If you have a digital volt/ohm meter, check alt. Output at battery terminals, output should be 13.5-14.5V.

Alternator must be installed with - battery terminal disconnected.

Also make sure you got the correct alternator, stick with a remufactured Denso unit.

Also inspect battery cables and make sure starter has clean ground to block.
