I hardwired a kenwood cd player inside my car and my caution lights won't come on. That's when I noticed the problem. My head and signal lights come on but not the caution lights. Are they not coming on because I may have used or cut a wire or what? And my friend has the same problem with his 1987 pickup but his signal or caution lights won't come on just his headlights. Can somebody help

Take it back out and make sure all the wires that you cut goes back to the same wire do a good splice. See what happen to the caution lite.

I will give you the existing wire color code so that you can hook it up properly and the kenwood color code wire. Its your shot.

Do yours first and see what happens. Make sure you insulate and tug the wires properly to prevent chafing and short to ground.
