My 2000 Toyota celica gt-s has a knock/rattle in the engine around the timing chain area, it's a metal on metal sound and it only happens around 3,000 to 4,500 RPM's it dosnt affect the preformence of the car it's just a horrable
sound any clue what it could be?

Hi there,

With out actually hearing this noise it is a bit hard to tell, but I would be checking the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge and checking the timing chain & tensioner, start here.
