Hello my name is Jeremey and im trying to help a friend fix his car. Seems to be that I cant find this rather easy answer. My friends car quit on him with no sort of noise or clutter, at a red light and will not turn over since. I told him that the timing belt may be broken but we had taken off the top cover that exposes the timing belt and it seems to be fine and tight. But we have noticed that that the crank will turn the crank pully but will not turn the timing belt. In order to see if there is a bad spot it the belt I have to get that bottom timing cover off. So to my question which way does the does the crank pully bolt loosen? Im not sure because ive tried to get it off but I failed. I do not want to break the bolt if it is left hand threads. Can you help me with question.
