Need to change the water pump. Car is a coupe, engine number 5A FE. Somthing like that. Do I need to adjust the timing belt to do this repair? Is it a straight switch? Does anyone have a picture of what to do? Thanks in advance for your help.

I had this exact same problem my car is a 1993 totota celica gt 2.2 L 2dr coupe same engine code. The water pump is timing belt driven. So in order to change the water pump a new timing belt has to be installed or at least thats what I was told. I just paid 800 dollars and put it in the shop
