1991 Toyota Celica engine stalled

Hi I was driving nd noticed my car start to smell so I thought maybe it needed to cool down so I took it home nd the nex day I was driving and it just stalled and when it started I tryed to put it in gear nd it just reved wouldnt go and now it wont start at all I need help plz

Start with checking for fault codes, and also fuel delivery, spark and injection pulse. Is the engine turning over? It would be a good idea to inspect the timing belt as well.
