I have a 1994 toyota camry w/160,000 miles. Where is the water pump and how difficult is it to change it? How hard is it to change the thermostat?

You didn't mention which engine but both 4 and V6, the water pump is driven by the timing belt. At 160K you are way beyone the timing belt life and it has to be replaced also. You should consider a tensioner also as if water drips on it, it is finished. The T-stat is easy but the water pump and timing belt require a good mechanic to do it right.

Good luck
