Hi, I have a new 2007 Camry Hybrid. I got backo my cas this morning, and saw half of the plastic casing on the ground. There is no damage to the mirror electronics, that is all intact, it looks like somebody swiped my car from the side but just enough to break off the plastic. So right now the damage is aesthetic only, but is there any way to just put a new shell on the mirror, should I contact my insurance or just take it in to the dealer

Hello,

Typically, the mirror assembly is easier to find than just the cap.

The outside mirror replacement procedure for this vehicle can be done easily.
Start by removing the triangular plastic trim that is located on top of the door panel, behind the mirror mounting spot.
That trim can be removed by simply pulling out on it.
There will be three nuts that keeps the mirror in place.
Unplug the mirror and remove the nuts to release the mirror.
