My 2003 Camry "four cylinder" just started making a whiney noise. It's sounds like it coming from the back side of motor "transmission side", the whine increase when the engines RPM's increases. I should mention this noise is made made whether the car is parked or driving down the down the road.

Please advise, Jeff

Update!

My transmiision is now slipping, is this most likely the "torque converter falling apart internally or the front pump in the transmission going out"? I guess either way the tranny coming out, but it can't hurt to get some more input.

Please advicie and thanks for your help, Jeff

Update #2

The ccar is generating a P0741 code,
Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Performance or Stuck Off.

Please advice, Thanks

Remove the drive belts and start it just to be sure the noise isnt being transmitted through the head or block. If still there, could possibly be a torque converter falling apart internally or maybe the front pump in the transmission whining
