I thought this Camry had only one cat converter - I went to a shop and they told me that it has two-one from the manifold in the front and the second one is the visible one. Can someone confirm this?

the in-line 4 cylinder camry does indeed have 2 cat. converters. it has 1 in the front near exhaust manifold and 1 in the rear on the piping. cat. converters rarely fail though, are you replacing them?

Yes am replacing them, changed the O2 sensors and the check engine light still goes on and had it tested and came back cat convertor but the visible one is around $240 changed that was the quote until they turned around and told me it was the front one from the manifold down $800.00 imagine that change in $, so I had to ask if there is such thing as I have not seen it.
