Air Conditioning problem
2002 Toyota Camry 4 cyl 76000 miles

A repair shop has just told me that I have a leak in the air conditioning system behind the dash board in the evaporation core. They said they need to replace the expansion valve and the receiver/dryer. Their quote is $1200. I'm wondering if this is an appropriate amount.

A good portion of the dash will have to be removed, so there is a lot of labor involved. The cost of parts also.
But I would check around and look for an independent shop and get a few more estimates.
