2001 Toyota Camry squeaking brake sound

I have a 2001 camry. When I apply brakes, there is a lod squeaking sound. The sound is more if I apply brakes hard in order to stop the vehicle. The sound is less if I apply brake in order to slow down the vehicle. Also the sound is more if the vehicle is a speed ( say 50 mph) and need to stop completely.
Also, I need to press the brake down enough for it to stop completely. What could be possible reason for this?

Hi there,

Get the rotors skimmed and if the pads are only cheap, replace with good quality as cheap pads are full of resign and cause glazing, this is more so if you drive in lots of stop start traffic.
