Engine Mechanical problem
1999 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Automatic

First off the car has been sitting for two years I got it back it cranked up at first then made clickin noise so I got a new battery and a new starter and hook it up and it ran around the block a couple times then the next day I went to crank it up and it tryies and it seems like its having trouble starting then I poped the hood and I had a lil white smoke coming from my air filter box. Start by removing starter and taking to any autoparts store and have it bench tested, it sounds like the starter is drawing way too many amps.

If OK, remove all plugs, remove FP fuse and turn engine by hand with a socket and ratchet on balancer bolt, engine should turn freely, if not you may have a broken piston ring.
