How do I remove a plug wire boot that is stuck on the spark plug? When I pulled the plug wire off the spark plug the boot stayed stuck to the spark plug. How can it be removed?

Hi there,

You will have to get a set of long nose pliers and basicly tear it apart, if the boot has come apart I would be replacing all the leads as p[art of the tune up, this is a common problem with deep recessed plugs as they do run hot down there and this causes the boots to shrink and bind up.

Thanks,
Problem is I can't seem to find a pair of needle nose long enough to do the job.
I was hoping someone had a little more original soloution.

You can try spraying a little spray lube and with a long screw driver try and turn the boot a little to free it up, but it may be very tight, the long nose pliers is the best way to not do any damage.
