Hi,

The cooling liquid to my radiators drains out in 3-4 days and needs to be refilled. Also the radiator fans remain shut off, but rotate for 10-15 seconds every time I shut off and turn on the A/c.

When the radiator runs out of cooling liquid or if we dont keep turning the a/c off and on (to ensure that the radiator fans work), we sometimes observe steaming from the radiator.

Can you please advise what is wrong and what do I need to do? If I take this to a mechanic, what would be the approximate cost to get it fixed.

Thanks

When I checked the radiator, I could see some liquid on top. Does that mean the radiator is leaking?

Can you please give me some pointers on what to check?

First you need to top of the coolant. Then you need to hose the radiator and what ever has coolant on it. So it is clean. Then you need to run it so the cooling system pressurizes. Where ever you see the leak then that is where it is coming from. If you want to, you can to Sears or autozone I think they sell a cooling system pressure kit so you don't have to run the car. You put it in place of your radiator cap and pump it up to 15psi.
