Steering problem
1998 Toyota Camry Front Wheel Drive Automatic 130000 miles

We recently purchased a used car for our daughter in college. The car seemed to run and drive very good, and it appeared to be in decent shape for a used car. Once the daughter went back home she had it inspected with her boyfriend. Now I have received a list of items of which most are minor but now she is all worried about her safety. The two things they said are big concerns are; The right front inner tie rod is loose, and the right rear control arm is bent. How serious are these two items and how costly are they to fix.

Thanks
Monty

Hi Monty,

The Tie rod is a safety problem, if it comes apart she will loose steering.

The Control Arm being bent will cause an alignment problem and will cause excessive tire ware.
