Recent developed a moderately loud noise when
the car is started. Quiets to normal after a few
minutes/miles. Does the entire front exhaust
need to be replaced? I've been told that there is
"a hole" in the front exhaust.

Hi oulugirl,

The exhaust system consists of a few components joined together so if one part is defective, you only need to replace that particular part.

However you should check if other components and replace if it is not in good condition.

Certain parts if leaking due to abrasion can be repaired by welding.
