Engine Mechanical problem
1997 Toyota Camry 4 cyl Automatic

Changed my spark plugs and wires, car started sputtering again, a mechanic said we had to use double platnum on it and could not use universal plugs, that it burns the wires. Is this true? And they said it was plug #3. Is it numbered left to right if your under the hood looking at the engine? Thanks

HI there,

You can use standard plugs, but iridium or platinum are better but not mandatory, change all at one time and if you do the leads do all as well, No ! Is at the Timing belt end.
