My driver seat keeps slipping back towards the back seat. Like a gear is stripped or something. I put boxes in the floor of the back seat behind me to prop the seat up. Is this a repairable problem without going to a repair shop, or is just replacing the seat the best thing to do. Also, the retractable seat belt is stuck. It happens to be stuck at my size. Is this repairable without going to the shop?

Thanks,

David

Hi there,

It is an easy job to lift out the seat, just 4 14mm bolts, there may just be something stuck in the rail lock, you will see how it works its a simple system, as for the seat belt, get a new one fitted, as they are not repairable if faulty, don't use 2nd hand as you don't know if they have been over stressed in a previous accident.
